2K Brings Onboard Popular Battle Royale Developer to Boost Struggling Action Game Ambitious Title
2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to oversee the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently working on the forthcoming third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Leadership Transition Comes After Lukewarm Reception
The new appointee takes on the role of studio head at the development studio following the departure of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' lackluster initial reveal last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer updated team members about this decision through an official communication, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had shown the need for a clearer vision.
Ismailer expressed that the developers is now overhauling Project Ethos with a revised vision, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.
A Pattern of Strategic Acquisitions
This announcement mirrors a comparable step taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they recruited Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to work on the BioShock development group.
